Your role Join our team as Assistant Project Manager, Medical Equipment Planning, on our Furniture and Equipment Team, in Alberta!
In this role, the Assistant Project Manager will apply their knowledge and expertise in the field of healthcare facilities, including new builds and redevelopment projects. The individual must demonstrate a developing project portfolio, where they have either led or supported medical equipment planning projects from beginning to end.
You will become a vital contributor to our mission of creating end-to-end, customized, and high-quality project outcomes. In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist with medical equipment planning and procurement on a national team. Responsibilities
- Manage projects end‑to‑end, including preparing and managing project plans, planning, scheduling, resource coordination, cost estimating, reporting, and stakeholder communication
- Engage with clinical users, design teams, and multidisciplinary groups to gather requirements, clarify regulations, and guide department‑ and room‑level medical equipment planning
- Participation in medical equipment and furniture activities, including conducting inventory, reuse recommendations, assist with procurement documentation and bid preparation, vendor coordination
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to obtain specifications, budgets, and product insights, while staying current on emerging technologies and solutions
- Prepare and deliver client‑facing materials such as presentations, reports, proposals, RFP inputs
- Maintain project related database updates
- Collaborate with internal teams, contribute to process and tool improvements, mentor colleagues, and work independently or jointly as needed
- Participate in team and client meetings, support proposal responses, and ensure all project deliverables are completed on schedule
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies and products
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience overseeing medical equipment planning projects
- Experience in Design Build Finance and Maintain projects highly desirable
- Knowledge of the Capital Planning Processes
- A Biomedical Engineering Degree is desirable, or 3 years’ related experience will be considered
- Excellent project management and organization skills
- Ability to support multiple projects concurrently
- Effectively influences others and successfully resolves a variety of client, project and technical issues
- Significant knowledge in various medical equipment types and systems
- In-depth understanding of healthcare organizations and their operational constraints
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in both French and English
- Strong technological skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
Expected Compensation: $58,965 – $74,574 per year (CAD)
This compensation range represents our good-faith estimate at the time of posting, based on market benchmarks and internal equity. Final compensation will be determined considering the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications and regional consideration. Annual bonus opportunities are in addition to base salary.
