Description
The Department of Psychiatry at URMC is seeking a board-certified psychiatrist to join its University Mental Health Practice (UMHP) at Sully’s Trail. UMHP is a faculty practice comprised of psychologists and psychiatrists through the Division of Collaborative Care & Wellness in the Psychiatry Department. The role of the psychiatrist is to provide initial diagnostic evaluations of patients presenting with various psychiatric concerns, and to develop a plan of care including medication management and psychotherapeutic interventions as clinically indicated. This is a time as reported (TAR) position and the successful candidate would need to qualify for both an academic appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry and a medical staff appointment at Strong Memorial Hospital.
This practice location is currently using the EPIC electronic medical records system and training will be provided.
Requirements:

Must possess an MD or equivalent and be board certified (or board eligible)

Must obtain NYS licensure prior to start

Candidates applying to this position will be expected to secure an individual DEA and will be required to complete a post-offer health assessment and drug test at the University’s Employee Health site in Rochester, NY at least one month prior to start.
