About the role

HR Coordinator - Mississauga (Multi-site role)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited, to the following duties outlined below:

  • Acting as a primary support of HR Manager for all areas of Human Resources
  • Assisting HR Manager for all HR functions: HR Administration, Employment law, Training, Recruitment, Benefits, Employee Relations, HR information systems Ceridian Dayforce and Powerpay
  • Assist in managing Internal Global HRIS platform for Hiring, Terminations, and maintaining employee information
  • Operating full cycle recruitments from sourcing profiles to face to face interviews and reference checks
  • Coordinating communications with the recruitment agencies to maintain the recurring temporary staffing needs
  • Managing employees’ records, handle onboarding for new employees
  • Conducting orientation, create and maintain new hire packages, ensures legislative compliance for onboarding requirements & criminal background checks
  • Drafting contracts and assist in the preparation of internal HR communications, legal documents, and other business correspondence
  • Drafting Employment Letters and address to employee relations request on regular basis
  • Coordinating communications with Payroll department before each payroll run
  • Acting as resource person to employees, managers and supervisors, with respect to a variety of Human Resources policies and procedures
  • Completing and verify a variety of HR admin forms for contract modifications, promotions, leaves, terminations, retirement, compensation, contracts, transfers, etc.
  • Providing reporting to management teams for HR data
  • Assist in global mobility and intra company transfer immigration procedures
  • Assist Health and Safety team to provide with the critical data required to file WSIB Claims or to address safety emergencies
  • Organize training plans and host training sessions for all the employees of the Canadian units
  • Conducting HR legislation research and legal watch as required by management
  • Provide quality HR service to all Canadian Business Units located in Ontario, Quebec, and Alberta
  • Ensuring follow up regarding performance management, probationary period
  • Participating in preparation of employee related events, engagement activities and visits of global executives
  • Other similar duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Completed Education in Human Resources field is required (College Diploma or University Degree)
  • Full understanding of Canadian employment law
  • At least 2 - 3 years' experience in HR is mandatory
  • At least 2 years' experience with full cycle recruitment is required (end-to-end)
  • Prior experience with HR Information System is required (Ceridian system is an asset)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal
  • Bilingual (French- English) is an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (word, excel, powerpoint, outlook)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a strong asset
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize various tasks and projects
  • Exceptional people skills, diplomacy, and a customer service focused attitude
  • Attendance, diligence, punctuality, reliability
  • Authorized to work in Canada for any employer
  • Access to a personal vehicle is required, to travel between our two Mississauga sites.

Work conditions:

  • Type of contract : Full-time permanent position : 40 hrs per week.
  • Starting date : As soon as possible
  • Office hours : 8.00 am – 5.00 pm Monday to Friday
  • Salary : $50k to $55k CAD annually (depending on relevant experience)
  • Number of available positions: 1
  • This is a 100% on-site position, that requires to come to the office 5 days a week
  • Successful candidate will be required to provide photo ID, banking details, and valid SIN number.
  • This is a multi-site support role that requires time spent at both our units located in Mississauga.
