About the role
We are seeking a professional and reliable Security Site Supervisor to lead daily security operations at a private school in downtown Toronto. This is a full-time role responsible for overseeing site security activities, supervising a team of at least six staff, conducting patrols, managing visitor access and security systems, and maintaining accurate reports and logs while supporting school programs and events.
The ideal candidate has experience working within the public sector and demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills, along with training in de-escalation and conflict management, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming school environment.
Position Overview Location: Bloor St. E and Mount Pleasant Rd.
Shift: Monday to Friday from 1500-2300
Payrate: $21.50/hr

- Supervise daily security operations and lead a team of at least six staff, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and a safe, secure environment.
- Manage employee performance, provide training and professional development, and implement conflict management and de-escalation strategies as needed.
- Open and secure facility spaces for visitors, conducting visual checks to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality.
- Monitor visitor access and security cameras, maintain accurate visitor logs, and address any security concerns.
- Conduct facility and equipment setup prior to user group arrival and ensure proper strike procedures return spaces to their original condition.
- Support programs and activities by directing visitors, managing attendance/check-in, and ensuring user needs are met.
- Assist with occasional event setups for school activities, maintaining security and operational standards.
- Ensure all policies, procedures, and user expectations are consistently followed by staff and visitors.
- Maintain a daily operator report and promptly communicate any incidents, concerns, or operational issues to management team.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience supervising security teams (6+ staff) in the public or educational sector
- Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures, including emergency response, conflict resolution, and de-escalation tactics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
- Knowledge of security systems, visitor management protocols, and facility patrols
- Ability to maintain accurate reports, logs, and documentation
- Flexible and adaptable to support school programs and events
- Team player committed to a safe, secure, and welcoming school environment
