We are looking for a permanent Credit Analyst to join our Export Documentation and Credit team in Saskatoon!

Headquartered in Saskatoon with three international offices, Canpotex is one of the world's largest suppliers of potash overseas. On behalf of our Shareholders, Mosaic and Nutrien, we market and deliver Saskatchewan potash, a valuable fertilizer nutrient, to millions of fields and farmers globally - ultimately helping the world grow more food.
The Opportunity:
- Perform financial and business analysis as required and provide commentary on customer’s financial strength and recommend credit limits and/or payment terms.
- Advise the Senior Manager, Export Documentation and Credit of all risks and credit issues as they arise, assists in mitigating these risks, and recommend changes to credit policies or procedures
- Facilitates the Know Your Customer (KYC) process to ensure Canpotex’s customers are compliant with corruptions, sanctions, embargo and similar laws.
- Writes detailed commentaries on customers, country risk, and market conditions and recommends actions as required.
- Support the Marketing team as required in managing their customer’s credit and provide updates on customer information, credit ledgers, and other pertinent information as required.
- Provides input to the Finance team as required; including monthly forecasted credit insurance premiums, confirming coverage for invoices to be sold or discounted.
You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- Minimum three to five years’ experience in a related role.
- Experience in financial analysis with knowledge of accounting principles, financial ratios, credit insurance, and international trade finance.

- Financial Expertise: Experience interpreting key financial statements and identifying trends and risks to make informed credit decisions.
- Technology Proficiency: Advanced computer skills including experience tracking and analyzing data in Excel.
- Clear and Impactful Communication: Ability to effectively communicate financial data to internal and external stakeholders in a clear, structured manner, verbally and in writing.
- Team Partnership: Ability to connect and collaborate with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders throughout the organization, fostering meaningful relationships.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and comprehensive credit analysis.
- Flexibility and Responsiveness: Ability to quickly adjust to shifting priorities while managing several credit assessments simultaneously.
