Position Summary
We’re seeking a Sales Executive to drive growth across Ascend’s certified UKG services throughout Canada. This role is responsible for the full sales cycle — from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals — while developing strategic partnerships with UKG and other key ecosystem players.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship-driven sales professional with experience in the HCM/WFM industry and a passion for helping organizations modernize their workforce management.
Key Responsibilities
The Sales Executive performs a wide range of duties including, but not limited to the following:
- Own the full sales cycle: From pipeline development to deal closure, ensuring a consistent and disciplined approach to sales execution.
- Achieve sales targets: Consistently meet or exceed annual revenue goals through effective territory planning and execution.
- Develop strategic relationships: Build strong connections with UKG sales teams, Field Alliance Managers, and Client Success Managers.
- Collaborate across teams: Partner with Ascend Marketing and Services teams to align offerings, share insights, and refine go-to-market strategies.
- Engage in events: Represent Ascend at UKG and industry events (SKO, GTMX, Aspire, networking events) to expand visibility and partnerships.
- Foster partner alliances: Identify and nurture relationships with complementary UKG ecosystem partners.
- Drive process improvement: Recommend enhancements to prequalification, sales, and service workflows.
- Deliver compelling proposals: Develop and present solutions that articulate Ascend’s value and differentiate our services.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably within the HCM/WFM technology or services industry.
- Proven success in full-cycle sales, from lead generation to contract closure.
- Experience working with Mid-Market or Enterprise Healthcare clients preferred.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of solution-based selling.
- Proficiency with HubSpot (or equivalent CRM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and driven to achieve results.
- Must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work remotely from a home based.
- Legal residence and ability to work in the Canada.
- Ability and willingness to travel 25 - 35% of the time.
