CBI Home Health is looking to hire Health Care Aides in Surrey, British Columbia.

Hourly Rate Range: The hourly rate range for this position is $22.95-$25.05 per hour.

What you will do

  • As a caring, responsible health care team member, you will provide quality, patient-centered care to our clients in our Transitional Home, helping them to live their best lives.
  • Personal care proactively and with compassion.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as grooming, dressing and bathing.
  • Plan and prepare meals.
  • Help with patient mobility and transfers.
  • Perform light household duties, such as cleaning, laundry and washing dishes.

What you will need to be successful

  • Your Health Care Aide Certificate or Equivalent.

  • Registration with the British Columbia Care Aide Registry.

  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.

  • A clear Criminal Record Check With Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 12 months.

  • Proof of a negative TB test within the last 12 months and an up-to-date immunization record.

  • Ability to work overnight shifts and have weekend availability.

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with ability to communicate in other languages an asset.

  • Reliability and strong organization skills.

  • Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs. (16 kg).
