Achieving Excellence
The Lead Spa Attendant is responsible for leading and supporting the Spa Attendant Team in ensuring quality, cleanliness, and leadership within Nordic Spa facilities. Leadership and commitment to wellness will inspire your team to deliver exceptional service and cleanliness. The Lead Spa Attendant reports directly to Spa Experience Manager.
Key Focuses
- Possesses exceptional guest service with attention to detail.
- Assist in the operation of all spa departments and to have knowledge of the spa’s facilities.
- Direct and lead the day to day spa attendant operations, ensuring daily tasks are assigned and checklists are completed.
- Manage any incidents that may occur on shift and if necessary, escalate to a manager or supervisor.
- Represent Kananaskis Nordic Spa with the highest level of service excellence and be knowledgeable of the facility.
- Support and lead the day to day back of house operations.
- Act as a spa attendant and lead the team when required to (filling in for shifts, staying later, quality checking, etc).
- Demonstrate pride in work by creating positive energy, team work, excitement and fun.

Experience/Passions/Education
- Previous Spa or Hospitality leadership experience.
- First Aid Certificates (Including CPR) preferred.
- Excellent guest service, communication and organizational skills.
- Passion for people & wellness.
- Must have strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently as well as cohesively as part of the team.
- Must be highly organized and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and able to complete many diverse tasks concurrently.
Working Conditions
This position may require working early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays to support business needs. The role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift, with occasional lifting of items up to 30 lbs and the use of ladders, stairs, or ramps. This position will work outdoors in a variety of Mountain weather conditions, experiencing a wide range of weather conditions and temperature ranges from -30°C to +30°C.
