About the role:

About the role:

We are actively seeking an HVAC Technician that is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of facilities and equipment. This role supports operational continuity by maintaining comfortable and compliant indoor environments across site buildings while adhering to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and preventative maintenance programs.

The HVAC Technician works independently and collaboratively with maintenance teams to diagnose system issues, perform corrective and preventative maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to building systems and energy efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, inspect, and repair HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air‑handling equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities according to maintenance schedules, manufacturer specifications, and site procedures.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC system issues, diagnose faults, and carry out timely repairs to reduce downtime.
  • Monitor system performance, identify inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions or equipment upgrades.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable safety standards, codes, regulations, and site policies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and documentation within the maintenance management system.
  • Coordinate with other trades, contractors, and operations personnel to support site activities and planned shutdowns.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and participate in on‑call or shift coverage as required.

Qualifications

Key Skills & Knowledge:

  • Certificate of Qualification as an HVAC Technician (or equivalent trade certification).
  • 313A Refrigeration License or equivalent is required.
  • G1 Gas Technician certification or equivalent is preferred.

Relevant Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience working as an HVAC Technician in industrial, commercial, or institutional environments.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and troubleshooting complex HVAC systems.
  • Experience working in safety‑sensitive or regulated environments is considered an asset.

Salary Range: $70,800-$106,200 + bonus.
