By joining RBC as a Business Service Associate (BSA), you open the door to an exciting career in Commercial Banking. This is your opportunity to become a critical member of a results-oriented team, a key partner to sales professionals and their clients. This role will be attractive to individuals who have a passion for working as part of a team to deliver a superior experience to business clients. Individuals who may already be working in the financial, retail or service industry, have some experience being part of a sales team, who are comfortable engaging with clients and committed to continuous learning and self-improvement are most likely to thrive in this critical sales support role.
What will you do?
- Support business clients in new account opening and account amendments with all required documentation, ensuring banking solutions such as digital banking, night bags, SSRT enrollment and ATM cards where applicable are identified.
- Ensure the portfolio of non-borrowing segment (<$50M average annual deposits) queries and requests are addressed including educating on use of online banking, Advice Center and Branch as required.
- Ensure clients are in Home of Best Fit and uncover One RBC Referrals as needed
- Educate business clients on Merchant and Cash Management solutions while supporting the BES Specialists in identifying information required to complete Business Electronic Reviews (BER)
- Educate clients on digital solution features and benefits, organize client meetings as required for complex Merchant & Cash Management solutions
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- At least two (2) years’ experience in Banking
- Critical thinking, ability to prioritize multiple tasks for daily delivery, good problem-solving skills
- Experience and comfort with communications and technology (i.e., web-based meetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications)
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and urgency
- Delighted to work with clients, with a proven high level of communication skills
- Proven ability to contribute to common team goals
- Good working knowledge of the Banking policies, products/services
Nice-to-have
- First degree in Finance, Business related field or equivalent professional qualification
