About the role

Education: Bachelor's degree. Environmental studies. Communication, general. Human resources development. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Rural area. Business. Government department and/or agency. Public sector. Humans resources services. Tasks: Analyze market research data to improve business decisions or activities . Develop all kinds of events for publicity, fundraising and information purposes. Develop communication strategies. Direct the production of educational and publicity programs and informational materials to awaken curiosity and interest in the subject matter. Evaluate communication strategies and programs. Implement communication strategies and programs. Oversee the preparation of written material for website content. Publicize activities, workshops, meetings and other events for fundraising or information purposes. Review written material, such as reports, briefs, speeches, presentations and press releases. Supervise staff. Train staff. Develop promotional materials. Hire, train, direct and motivate staff. Manage contracts. Plan and control budget and expenditures. Write and edit press releases, newsletter and communications materials. Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that develop and implement communication strategies and information programs. Act as spokesperson for an organization. Answer written and oral inquiries. Assist in the preparation of brochures, reports, newsletters and other material. Co-ordinate special publicity events and promotions. Initiate and maintain contact with the media. Prepare and/or deliver educational, publicity and information programs, materials and sessions. Supervise office and volunteer staff.
