About The Role The Quality Support Technician’s mandate is to support the molding and assembly production of products, to support the Product Development Cycle, as well as, the implementation of quality management strategy, and Quality Systems that integrate with the business plan. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train and oversee the Quality Auditing Teams, and directly support all three shifts
  • Contribute in creation of test plans, and other relevant documentation on a project by project basis.
  • Implement Statistical Process Control, i.e. X-bar charts, control limits, specification limits, standard deviation
  • Assist with Design of Experiments, data collection, Process Capability, Process Probability, and to analyze and publish results using Excel, Power Point presentations and Word Documents
  • Assist Quality Manager to maintain ISO 9001:2015 quality standards into current Quality Management System
  • Proficient in performing Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility studies, reading 2D prints and performing dimensional layouts, as well as process capability studies.
  • Proficient Root Cause Analysis techniques such as 5Ys, 8D, SIPOC, DMAIC
  • Set up data and record collection logs and ensure that documentation is updated and maintained
  • Developing Control Plans and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis as applicable
  • Support Gauge Calibration and record keeping
  • Perform Incoming Quality checks including data collection and record keeping
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Perform Quality System audits including process audits, quality system audits, dock audits to Acceptance Quality Limits
  • Work with the Quality Manager to establish QA processes in concert with development lifecycles
  • Maintain Quality Control systems to measure performance against established standards, under the directive of the Quality Manager

Required Experience You’ll Bring

  • High School required with preference to those with Technician or Technologist Diploma or Certificates from a recognizable College in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or Quality Control fields.
  • Minimum 3 year experience or previous demonstrated ability to work with a ISO 9001 injection molding manufacturing facility

Preferred Experiences And Skills

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, procedure manuals and personnel policies
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, MiniTab an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analytical, Statistical and Mathematical skills
  • Supervisory experience an asset
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions

Job Requirements

  • 40 hours per week
  • Must be open to work extra hours as required by the business
