Quadra is looking for a Product Manager to join our Industrial Chemicals group; someone who wants to do more than manage products… someone who wants to shape markets.
In this role, you will blend strategic marketing with procurement and commercial leadership. You will analyze trends, influence product direction, develop supplier relationships, and create strategies that drive growth across your portfolio. We’re looking for someone who has strong experience in sales, marketing, and supply chain and who brings the business acumen and curiosity to see the bigger picture. Experience in Oil Field Services or HI&I/Surfactant markets is a major advantage.
Reporting to the Head of Product Marketing, you will play a central role in guiding product strategy and driving the continued success of our industrial chemicals business. What would be your main responsibilities as a Product Manager for our Industrial Chemicals group?:
- Ensure a reliable and competitive supply of products aligned with target market needs
- Develop strong, multi-level supplier relationships supported by regular, well-documented interactions
- Drive ongoing market development and deliver sustained, profitable growth across the product portfolio
- Collaborate closely with the sales organization, balancing company objectives with customer requirements and supplier expectations
- Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned products and markets
- Manage pricing and maintain accurate, up-to-date price lists
- Monitor and analyze monthly product performance reports
- Conduct formal evaluations of key supplier performance
- Maintain a visible presence within priority industries by attending trade shows, conferences, and other market events
- Foster strong, trust-based relationships with the sales team through credibility, transparency, and collaboration
Inventory, Purchasing & Sales Responsibilities
- Oversee inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels, avoiding excess or shortages
- Collaborate with sourcing and supply chain teams to align purchasing volumes with market demand and sales forecasts
- Develop purchasing strategies that enhance competitiveness, cost control, and supplier performance
- Support the sales team with product knowledge, market insights, competitive positioning, and pricing strategies
- Monitor and evaluate sales performance by product, adjusting market or sourcing strategies as needed to drive growth and profitability

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess The Following Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business or related discipline
- At least 8 years of combined experience in commercial roles and product management within the chemical distribution industry
- Direct experience in Oil Field Services, and HI&I/Surfactant markets is a significant advantage
- Professional procurement accreditation is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of chemical markets and industry dynamics, with the ability to assess market trends and competitive activity to identify both risks and opportunities
- Demonstrated expertise in pricing strategy and price list management
- Proven capability in inventory management and demand planning
- Experience developing effective purchasing and sourcing strategies
- Ability to collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution
- Skilled in analyzing data, sales performance, and market reports to support informed decision-making
- Strong business acumen and understanding of profitability drivers
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across teams and stakeholders
- Communication proficiency in French and English (oral and written bilingualism) is a strong asset
- Advanced computer literacy, including Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), and proficiency with the Office 365 suite
- Willingness to travel overnight, up to 40% of the time (including overnight stay and international travel)
- Valid passport and driver’s license

Compensation Information: The annual base pay range for this position is reasonably expected to be $85,900 to $145,000. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is only a part of the total rewards package - this role will also be eligible for a generous incentive program and benefits. Quadra’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. Please note that the base pay shown qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
