About the role
The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Part-Time, Temporary School Support Facilitator for Peace Regional Outreach Campus. The School Support Facilitator will be responsible for supporting and addressing the social, behavioral, emotional and academic factors which impede a student's school performance. This position will provide support to students and their families which may include complex issues that may require community agency involvement, crisis involving family support as well as situations involving mental health concerns.
This position will commence as soon as possible and will continue until June 26, 2026. The School Support Facilitator position will be responsible to the Principal of Peace River Outreach. The Division offers a comprehensive benefits package with an annual salary range: $40, 000 - $50,000.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Respond to emergency or crisis situations
- Assist students with behavioural, social, emotional issues and/or academic issues within the classroom and school setting
- Directly refer, liaise and provide consultation with students, school personnel, parents, and community agencies as required
- Make referrals and coordinate services with community agencies
- Collaborate with personnel within the school
- Participate in case conferences with school learning support teams
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

2 year diploma in Social Work
-
Social work experience working with children/youth experiencing social/emotional difficulties in an educational setting or social service agency would be an asset.

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances require.

Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
-
Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.

Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.

Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.

Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.

Strong morals and ethics, along with a commitment to staff privacy. This position involves travel to the Division’s schools; therefore, the successful candidate must have a valid driver's license.
