Your Next Challenge Reporting to the Mobile Supervisor, you will be part of the Mine Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for the inspection and lubrication and oil sampling for the production equipment underground while working to support the reliability and planning teams with proper documentation with creating work orders.
- Responsible for equipment lubrication, contamination control, inspection and proactive maintenance activities for all lubricated mechanical systems.
- Improve lubrification program and update task list when having equipment modifications
- Grease re-lubrication with manual and automatic dispensing equipment
- Identify and act on opportunities to coach site personnel on reliability , maintenance and condition monitoring concepts
- Collect, label and send oil samples for analysis
- Investigate and troubleshoot to assist operations and technical personnel in identifying and solving day to day issues
- Provide support for root cause analysis of failures and continuous improvement
- Properly follow company’s policies and Ontario Health and Safety Regulations for safe working procedures and environment
- Ability to analyze data
- Create and complete work orders (SAP,JDE)
- Communicate well with other departments
- All other duties as assigned.
What You Need To Succeed
- Red seal trade certification, mechanical engineering degree or related technical diploma
- A demonstrated level of knowledge in maintenance principles and processes
- Strong knowledge of maintenance tools (oil analysis, thermograpy, alignment, ultrashound) an asset
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Knowledge of maintenance best practices with respect to predictive, preventive and condition based maintenance management principles as applied to mobile equipment
- Understanding of fundamental lubrication concepts and application (viscosity, NLCI#’s, V.I, AW,EP,R&O, iso cleanliness codes, Beta filter rating, etc)
- Have a strong fundamental understanding of mechanical , hydraulic and circulating sytems operation, contamination control and maintenance functions
- Good computer skills and ability to use relevant software (Microsoft Excel, outlook, work SAP or JDE)
- Willingness to complete lube technician training to achieve level 1/level 2 certifications.

- Schedule: 7 on 7 off schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
