Job Description Job Summary
The Specialist, Social Content, will be responsible for supporting and executing an organic social strategy to drive brand consideration. The role actively supports social tactics, creates compelling social content for social channels, and assists with campaign monitoring, measurement, and reporting on social OKRs.
Accountabilities
- Execute corporate and social media strategy to increase followers and engagement through exciting, relevant, and engaging branded content..
- Support content creation and posting for corporate social media channels including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, with emphasis on improving social sentiment and engagement.
- Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content (original text, images, video, or HTML) that builds meaningful connections with followers and drives engagement.
- Support community management activities.
- Manage routine reporting and planning using Google Sheets and Monday boards.
- Quickly update existing Canva templates by inserting images and updating text.
- Assist with campaign boosting quality assurance.
- Stay current with social media trends, influencers, pop culture, digital marketing, and related areas.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Level of Education
- Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations.
Job Related Experience
- Experience managing a brand’s social media strategy within media or marketing communications.
- Knowledge of social publishing and listening tools such as Sprout; measurement tools like Kochava and Branch.
- Expertise in Canva or other design/editing tools for content creation.
- Working knowledge of Google Suite including formulas in Google Sheets.
- Experience with influencer/creator programs is an asset.
Skills and Background
- Passion for content with a strong pulse on social media and cultural trends.
- Able to manage multiple platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, Snapchat, etc.
- Exceptional video editing skills for live capture and within apps like TikTok, Shorts, Reels, Snap.
- Able to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Positive team player attitude in all work endeavors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation abilities.
- A solution-oriented collaborator who enjoys teamwork across departments on daily projects.
- Proactive in taking initiative and meeting deadlines efficiently.
- Strong time management skills.
- Willingness to travel and work irregular hours as required.
