The Role:
We are searching for a talented Quality Assurance Analyst to join our development team within our quickly growing and transforming organization. We are building a new client experience centered around helping them live healthier, happier lives by making smart, evidence-based health decisions over the long term through a digital and physical platform. The Accountabilities:
- This person is responsible for creating end-to-end test plans; executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected. The solution should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other legacy- and / or external systems.
- Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
- Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
- Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.
- Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
- Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
- Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
- Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
The Requirements:
- Experiences in Quality Management Software and Processes
- Knowledge and experience in technical aspects of software solution being tested
- Business process understanding
- 3+ years of relevant QA technical experience.
- 3+ years large enterprise or e-business systems experience.
- Expertise in database testing in Microsoft SQL Server environments including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored procs, jobs, triggers and replication.
- Create clear, concise detail-oriented test plans/cases.
- Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications.
- Documentation of test execution results required.
- Exposure to Automation testing and automating functional regression test cases.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Collaborate with business analysts to meet testing requirements.
- Familiar with QA test management tools (Selenium, Provar, AccelQ)
- Liaison with development, project management, and customer support
- Clear communicator (written and verbal) – to ensure ability to write test plans and test cases. To communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders
This is full-time role that is scheduled during business hours Monday through Friday and is in a hybrid work environment with 2 days/week in downtown Toronto. Our office is located at 150 York St which is a 10 minute walk from Union Station.
