About the role

Overview:

An Enterprise Business Process Specialist works within the corporate distribution operations organization to research, analyze, and recommend improvements to the company’s business and operational processes to improve overall organization performance. In addition, they are responsible for supporting and optimizing warehouse management system (WMS) implementations, go-lives, and changes. They liaison between field Operations designated Super Users and IT; to do so they direct, manage, and streamline systemic changes and support requests, support requirements collection and refinement, as well as testing. They also function as a systems and process escalation and reference point for field Operations and field Super Users. This is a techno-functional position, based remotely and as needed to provide coverage for various operations regions. Travel is required, on an as needed basis, for start-ups, physical inventory and continuous improvement engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • Support WMS implementations, working closely with the cross-functional implementation team consisting of IT, Eng, PM, training resources. Key functions include:
  • Gather business requirements and participate and lead in design sessions. Review, edit and approve solution design documents.
  • Build process flow documents in alignment with established solution design.
  • Participate in Eng. Gap model analysis.
  • Review detailed IT test scripts in alignment with established solution design. Create operational UAT test-scripts.
  • Support/lead UAT test cycle in collaboration with IT and site operations and/or Super Users.
  • Ensure that all critical WMS functions are working pre/post change or deployment
  • Document test performance and insure that any risks are identified/published
  • Support training/certification efforts in collaboration with members of the learning and development team
  • Support steady state operations. Key functions include:
  • Serves as an escalation and reference point from sites/Super Users on WMS functional issues.
  • Assists with technical issues routed to IT. Escalate critical issues based on operational impact to operational and IT leadership. Follow up on root cause analysis.
  • Aggregates and analyzes issues seen/reported by Operations to discover trends and potentially inform/generate improvement opportunities
  • Assists field Operations with requirement collection for any WMS functional and technical enhancements. Work closely with assigned IT and PM resources to configure, develop, test, train and deploy these enhancements.
  • Assists IT with review/testing of Operations facing system changes
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service and support.

Qualifications:

  • Degree - BA / BS preferred
  • 3+ years warehouse management solution (WMS) experience minimum across inbound, outbound and inventory control, and related reporting and KPIs on a Tier 1 system. Highly preferred:
  • Manhattan WMOS/PKMS/Active
  • Manhattan YM/BM/SCI
  • Softeon WMS
  • 2+ years experience with yard management and warehouse billing functions.
  • 5+ years of operations distribution domain experience in Retail and / or E-commerce experience.
  • Understanding of SQL and Oracle preferred.
  • MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Access.
  • Frequent exposure to warehouse conditions and temperatures.
  • Available off-hours as necessary to support business operations.
  • Travel required – depending on start-up or projects up to 35%.

We are excited to share the base salary for this position is $85,000.00 CAN. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, targeted at 5%. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, geographic location, when determining a starting rate of pay.
