Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

Reporting to the Director, Digital Marketing - Content Experience, Strategy & Operations, you will turn strategy into execution for how RBC shows up across our public-facing digital channels.

You’ll lead day-to-day content operations, enable our content and digital asset management capabilities, and orchestrate cross-functional delivery so our public websites tell a cohesive, outcome-driven story for consumer and non-consumer audiences. Your work will simplify our information architecture, modernize publishing capabilities, and accelerate speed-to-market through scalable workflows, governance, and strong partnerships.

What will you do?

Content Journey Strategy & Experience Design

  • Translate enterprise content strategy into audience-specific journey plans, page models, and editorial roadmaps
  • Rationalize and consolidate content hubs; inventory legacy pages, deprecate/redirect where needed, and prioritize improvements using data, SEO/GEO insights, and client feedback.
  • Partner with UX, Design, Accessibility, and SEO/GEO to deliver intuitive, inclusive, and measurable experiences (navigation, search, taxonomy, metadata, and cross-journey storytelling).
  • Write clear requirements/PRDs for content modules and site features; manage intake and discovery workshops to shape scope.

Platform Enablement, Capability Development & Integration

  • Collaborate with technology and business partners to evolve our digital content platforms—driving improvements in CMS capabilities, modular content frameworks, workflows, and governance models.
  • Drive adoption of modular content models, reusable components, and structured authoring (taxonomy, metadata, tagging, localization).
  • Build playbooks, standards, and author training; run office hours and change-management communications to lift platform maturity across the enterprise.

Content Operations & Governance

  • Run day-to-day publishing for the RBC public site: editorial calendar, SLA management, release coordination, QA, accessibility and compliance checks, and Legal/Brand approvals.
  • Establish and enforce scalable workflows, RACIs, and quality bars to ensure speed, control, and consistency across teams and vendors.

Performance & Business Insight

  • Define and manage OKRs/KPIs (e.g., speed-to-market, content quality, accessibility compliance, SEO health, engagement and conversion).
  • Build dashboards and reporting using GA4, Search Console, and A/B testing tools; translate insights into concrete optimizations and prioritized backlog items.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a trusted partner and connector across business and technology stakeholders; balance competing priorities and escalate risks with clear mitigation plans.
  • Facilitate working sessions and ceremonies; influence without authority to drive cross-functional alignment through complexity.
  • Champion a client-first mindset, coaching teams to make data-informed decisions and ship incrementally.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 5 to 10+ years of experience in digital product management, digital experience strategy, digital content strategy, digital media, editorial operations and/or enterprise content ecosystems
  • Hands-on expertise with content management (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager or similar) and digital asset management; component-based design systems; information architecture and content governance.
  • Proven ability to define and deliver digital product vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned to evolving business objectives with a customer-first lens.
  • Experience leading large-scale digital redesigns, content architecture simplification, or platform enablement initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret and act on reporting and performance data to drive continuous improvement and measurable impact.
  • Experience & expertise in SEO/GEO
  • Previous experience leveraging digital analytics platforms such as Google Analytics
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities with a track record of influencing and collaborating cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to clearly distill technical digital marketing concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • High ownership, planning, and time-management capability; comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity.
  • Comfort navigating complex enterprise environments, managing through ambiguity, and driving outcomes with creativity, discipline, and resilience.

What’s in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.

  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program include competitive compensation and flexible benefits, such as 401(k) program with company-matching contributions, health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and paid-time off.
  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities.
  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact.
  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team.
  • Opportunities to do challenging work.
  • Opportunities to build close relationships with clients.

RBC’s compensation philosophy and principles recognize the importance of a highly qualified global workforce and plays a critical role in attracting, engaging and retaining talent that:

  • Drives RBC’s high-performance culture
  • Enables collective achievement of our strategic goals
  • Generates sustainable shareholder returns and above market shareholder value
