Description
The Specialist II, Regional Field Engineering, initiates and drives the development of process optimization & mapping, workflow design, Standards development & auditing, statistical analysis used for trending and forecast information.
Responsibilities
- Drive process mapping development across functional business areas
- Drive the development of dock operational plans
- Coordinate and plan the courier route structure and load balancing procedur
- Initiate and drive the development of process optimization & mapping, workflow design, standards development & auditing, and statistical analysis used for trending and forecast information
- Develop detailed job methods for all key business processes across all functional business areas
- Employ standard engineering practices to develop optimum operating profiles for terminal operations
- Identify and drive implementation of short-term to medium-term initiatives to improve quality of service, productivity, cost, and work environment safety
- Facilitate cross-functional activities with multi-level team members
- Update and review dock operating plans with Operations team members
- Create business cases and project plans to lead improvement efforts
- Gather and analyze data to support Operations team members
- Translate data findings into problem statements and drives decision making process of appropriate solutions
Education
- BS degree in Industrial Engineering or another related engineering discipline
Experience
- 5 years’ experience in an engineering, or project management role
