About the role

Primary Purpose of the Job

As the business lead and functional business expert, the Senior Business Application Analyst manages a diverse portfolio of business application management activities. This role acts as a business lead and functional specialist, providing input and executing on strategies, roadmaps, and forecasts, while managing relationships with technology and business consumers. The role is also responsible for supporting the TRIRIGA Helpdesk mailbox and will benefit from any experience with TRIRIGA application support.

Key Accountabilities

Business Application Management

  • Direct accountability for leading and managing business operations practices to support delivery of BAU (Business As Usual) processes for three or more applications.
  • Represent the business as an Operational Excellence Champion.
  • Own and maintain a three-year roadmap to establish vision, clarity, and alignment with the strategic and tactical direction of the business.
  • Oversee financial planning and management processes as part of operations and technology budgets.
  • Accountable for documentation management for business operations and project artefacts (e.g., Operations Manuals, BRD, SRS, Test Plans).
  • Act as an escalation point for application and operation issues, including those raised via the TRIRIGA Helpdesk mailbox, both directly and through internal/external business partners (including vendors).
  • Provide project management support as required.

TRIRIGA Helpdesk Mailbox Management

  • Monitor and manage the TRIRIGA Helpdesk mailbox, ensuring timely and effective responses to queries and issues.
  • Coordinate with business partners, technology teams, and vendors to resolve TRIRIGA-related incidents and requests.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting related to TRIRIGA support activities.
  • Identify and escalate risks or recurring issues related to TRIRIGA to the appropriate stakeholders.

Change & Risk Management

  • Own deployment and change management for initiatives/projects spanning across all project tiers.
  • Ensure all guidelines and controls are in place to protect customer information and maintain compliance with risk/privacy requirements.
  • Review all Business Application Risk Assessments (BARA) annually and participate in regulatory reviews as required.
  • Ensure adherence to the Data Governance Framework and regulatory requirements under Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and the Office of the Chief Data Officer.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Manage relationships with project team members, third-party vendors/service partners, and other technology/client areas as appropriate.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with business, technology groups, and key stakeholders to identify and assess new project intake requests.
  • Communicate planned system outages and project updates to business partners.

Teamwork & Knowledge Sharing

  • Participate fully as a member of the team, supporting a positive work environment that promotes service, quality, innovation, and teamwork.
  • Support knowledge transfer within the team and business unit, including participation in cross-functional groups or committees.
  • Keep current on emerging trends/developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools, and techniques.

Required Experience & Education

  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in business application management, ideally with exposure to TRIRIGA or similar enterprise applications.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting TRIRIGA or similar facilities management applications.
  • Expert knowledge of applications supported by the team, including system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows, and business rules.
  • Advanced knowledge of project delivery life cycle (PDLC) methodology, business testing, and project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing shared mailboxes or helpdesk functions.
