Marketing Specialist – North America Sales, Marketing and Communications

Put your expertise in the spotlight The Marketing Specialist plays a key role in the business objectives of the Cirque du Soleil Marketing Division. The Media Specialist will be responsible for providing support to all marketing activities, supporting the various Marketing initiatives under the guidance of the Marketing Director. This position is key in facilitating requests, negotiating and planning, tracking results and ensuring effective and consistent communication flow. The ideal candidate will have the drive to create and maintain strong professional relationships, both internally and externally, to promote and encourage a positive and productive work environment and help the organization achieve its business.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective partners and vendors
- Research, evaluate, and launch marketing partners in markets as assigned.
- Collaborate and assist marketing leaders with overall strategy and media planning as well as execution of approved plans
- Collaborate with the digital media, graphics, and marketing teams with creative recommendations and optimizations to create efficiencies through various placements
- Complete key project management tasks, such as media grid updates and timeline tracking, decks, reporting
- Research new and innovative placements/partners and tools that may be a benefit to the marketing team
- Analyze data and identify opportunities to measure and improve performance
- Communicate market insights, recommendations and results to leadership in a professional manner
Traffic creative assets to media partners as needed
- Work with Accounts Payable to onboard new partners and ensure prompt payment of outstanding invoices
- Prepare briefs and strategy documents for the Marketing Managers
- Connect with box office to provide links and tools to reserve tickets to external agencies
- Complete other job-related duties as assigned
Background And Requirements You possess the following professional and technical skills: Requires strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, considerable knowledge of developing marketing plans and strategies, strong budget knowledge and ability to manage several projects simultaneously. Must be able to self-reliant and autonomous. Must have experience in marketing productions.
Education And Experience
- University degree in marketing and/or communications
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in marketing and advertising.
- Ability to manage priorities
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong communications skills
- Attention to detail
- Reliability and sense of responsibility
- Self reliance and self-motivation with the ability to work from home
- Creativity and ability to innovate
- Sense of urgency and ability to follow-up
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Fluency in English both spoken and written
- If position is based in Montreal: Fluency in French and English both spoken and written
