Securiguard is currently seeking Access Control Point (ACP) guards who provide access to the Restricted Area of the Airport. If you are ready to make a meaningful impact on the security and well-being of travelers, and be a part of our exceptional team, we encourage you to apply.
Each day our ACP guards are responsible for:
- Provide Access and Egress into and out of the Restricted Area for both passengers and employees according to the policies and procedures distributed by the Company.
- Prevent unauthorized and backflow access into restricted areas.
- Control access to restricted areas through verification of RAIC verification.
- Ensure adherence to block pass requirements for those accessing the Restricted Area while escorting.
- Ensure goods entering adhere to the Secure Supply Chain Security program.
- Ensure Canada Border Services Agency ("CBSA") regulations and directives are enforced.
- Other duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor/Management as per operational requirement.
Job Requirements
- Valid Security License with the Province of British Columbia
- Ability to work 8, 10 and 12-hour shifts, rotating between days and evenings (overnight), weekends and holidays.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and a clean abstract.
- Access to vehicle to get to and from work.
- Ability to problem-solve and situational awareness
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Clearance Requirements (RAIC)Training
For many of Securiguard's positions based at our Vancouver Airport Branch, candidates must have the ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC). This clearance involves a background check based on 5 years of history.
Successful candidates will then be trained in Aviation Security and, upon passing the examination, will receive an AVSEC certification.
