Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Noisy. Odours. Dusty. Hot. Cold/refrigerated. Wet/damp. Work setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment. Tasks: Cut beef, lamb, pork or veal carcasses or sides or quarters of carcasses into primal cuts for further cutting, processing or packaging. Remove filled containers from conveyors. Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers. Feed and unload processing machines. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Check products and packaging for basic quality defects. Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties. Food safety/handling skills. Transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
