You will also provide emergency care and first aid to staff and faculty as needed.
  • Support student readiness through immunization and health compliance by reviewing immunization records, identifying incomplete documentation, and educating students on required vaccinations and safe practice procedures for clinical placements.
  • Promote health and wellness through education by developing, coordinating, and leading student health initiatives that offer proactive information and support on a wide range of health-related topics.
  • Foster collaboration and community connections by maintaining strong relationships within the Wellness unit, with academic program areas, and with the clinical placement team. You will also build a network of community contacts to ensure appropriate referrals and access to external supports.
  • Lead communicable disease prevention and response by managing information gathering and communication related to the College’s Communicable Disease Procedure, assessing campus risks, and maintaining up-to-date processes and protocols to ensure a safe campus environment.

WHAT YOU BRING:

What Makes You a Difference Maker?
As a difference maker you bring:

  • Compassionate clinical care through the assessment of health concerns, completion of health histories and physicals, and providing appropriate care, recommendations, and referrals for students, staff, and faculty.
  • Health leadership and safety awareness by assessing communicable disease risks, maintaining related procedures, and communicating effectively with Public Health and campus partners to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Student readiness and compliance support by reviewing immunization records, confirming clinical placement requirements, and collaborating with program areas, clinical placement teams, and external partners.
  • Health education and promotion expertise by leading the Student Health Education initiative, identifying opportunities to engage students, and implementing strategies to promote physical well-being.
