Position Details
What You Will Do
- Facilitates and coordinates the development and maintenance of operational business continuity plans for all business units and corporate functions
- Recommend recovery strategies and options, and assist with the implementation of recovery solutions
- Design, develop and document work area (business function) business continuity plans
- Create scenarios to re-establish operations from various types of business disruptions
- Conduct and/or oversee contingency plan integration and operation
- Develop schedules for training/awareness for business partner associates
- Coordinate and conduct annual testing exercises of business unit continuity plans
- Understand the requirements for OFSI E-21 Guidelines on Operational Resiliency
- Working with Compliance and Enterprise Risk Teams to help business leaders identify and address gaps in operational risk and resilience
- Provide subject matter expertise to assist business leaders in managing their operational risks and resilience
- Assist business partners in resolving business issues related to work area recovery planning and recovery plan development / enhancements
- Consult on business process improvement opportunities to refine processes to mitigate exposure during disruptions of service, and, possibly, improve day-to-day operations
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 3 – 5 years of experience in business continuity, audit, insurance or related fields
- Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP / ABCP / MBCP) is required
- Disaster Recovery Planner and/or BCMS Auditor experience is preferred
- Self-motivated and proactive individual with strong analytical skills, oral and written communication skills with a willingness to express ideas and concepts
- Ability to persuade and support business cases with data and arguments
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to be collaborative team player
- Ability to work under pressure and to complete deliverables within deadlines
- Strong administrative skills, with effectiveness in developing tasks and managing resources to achieve target dates
- Off hour on-call support may be required
