The Opportunity

The Manager of the Product Launch team will play a critical and central role at Cosmetica in ensuring successful execution of projects and timely launches of products in the market for our customers. In this role, you will work with the Product Launch team that manages stakeholder engagement (internal and external) and cross-functional collaboration across functions.

You will facilitate decision making and extend support to your team and key stakeholders throughout the launch process to remove roadblocks and escalate in a timely fashion. The ability to communicate clearly and manage multiple priorities is paramount. Your proactive thinking and creative problem solving will be your biggest assets. Key Responsibilities

Project Management and Product Development

Supervise developing project plans that cover scope, time, cost, resources, communication, quality, risk management, stakeholders’ management and integration. Oversee and guide new launch projects by providing subject matter expertise with a view of successful execution.

Escalate roadblocks to senior management as required

People Management

Supervise a team of 5 Product Launch Managers who drive the complete new product development cycle using our Stage Gate System, starting with discovery, development, testing and validation, launch, and post launch review through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders Guide the project team to meet the target costs, timelines and product attributes to support business conversion. Support CLI operations in providing excellent customer service.

Strategic Initiatives

Work cross-functionally with senior leaders and department heads to drive successful launches. Lead process improvements and initiatives to support Cosmetica’s strategic goals.

Requirements

Post-secondary education in Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration/Commerce, and/or equivalent work experience Minimum 5 years’ work experience in product development and/or Project Management within the cosmetics, personal care manufacturing, and/or consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing industry Experience in people leadership or coaching Proficient with Stage Gate System Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment Effective communication, project management and time management skills Ability to drive and manage client and stakeholder expectations Ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with cross functional teams Demonstrated business acumen to make sound decisions in a timely manner Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) Resourceful and solution oriented Project Management Professional (PMP) designation A solid understanding of manufacturing processes in cosmetics or related industry

Total Rewards

The expected base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000.

In addition to base compensation Cosmetica offers a competitive total rewards package which may include bonus eligibility, equity, benefits, retirement plans, paid time away from work, etc.

Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.
