Role Description The Commercial Photographer is responsible for producing high-quality images of tableware, glassware, and porcelain products for use in catalogs, online platforms, and marketing materials. This part-time hybrid role is based in Toronto, ON, with a combination of on-site studio work and some work from home for post-production tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing product photo shoots, arranging lighting setups, styling products, and capturing images that highlight product features and brand identity. The role also involves editing and retouching photos to ensure consistency with brand guidelines, collaborating with marketing and design teams on visual concepts, and managing digital asset organization. The Commercial Photographer is expected to maintain an efficient workflow and meet deadlines for ongoing product launches and promotional campaigns. Qualifications Strong skills in Product Photography and Commercial Photography, with a portfolio showcasing tabletop or similar product work. Proficiency in Lighting techniques for studio and on-location shoots, including the use of soft boxes, reflectors, and other equipment. Advanced Image Editing and Photo Retouching skills using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom). Solid understanding of composition, color, and visual storytelling to support marketing and branding objectives. Experience working in a studio environment and handling delicate glassware and porcelain products safely. Strong organizational skills for file management, naming conventions, and archiving digital assets. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate visual concepts clearly. Relevant education or training in photography, visual arts, or a related field is an asset. Previous commercial or product photography experience, preferably in consumer goods or home products, is considered an advantage.
