Oxford Learning Orleans is looking for a dynamic, organized, and motivated Education Coordinator to join our team and help students build the skills and confidence they need for lifelong academic success.

Applicants must be able to commute to the centre. Relocation packages are not available.

A Vulnerable Sector Check is required before employment.

Responsibilities

As the Education Coordinator, you will work closely with the Centre Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of the learning centre. You will interact with students, parents, teachers, and staff while ensuring an exceptional learning experience for everyone.

Your Responsibilities Include

Meeting with prospective families and explaining Oxford Learning programs Organizing schedules for students, teachers, and staff Setting up and administering student assessments Preparing the learning centre each day before students and teachers arrive Creating and overseeing individualized student learning programs Maintaining regular communication with parents and discussing student progress Ensuring Oxford Learning's teaching philosophy and standards are maintained throughout the centre Creating a welcoming, energetic, and positive learning environment Coaching, mentoring, and supporting teaching staff Teaching students during afternoon and evening instructional hours Assisting with the daily administration and operation of the centre

Qualifications

We encourage you to apply if you possess most of the following qualifications.

Education

University degree (preferred fields include Education, Social Sciences, Languages, Mathematics, or a related discipline) Fluent bilingualism in French and English (spoken, written, and reading) is mandatory.

Experience

Experience working in an educational environment with medium to large student populations Previous teaching or tutoring experience Experience supervising or leading a team of 10–20 people Strong organizational and time-management skills Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online communication platforms Excellent customer service and telephone communication skills Sales experience is considered an asset Experience working in a business environment is an asset

Salary: $20 - $22 / hour

The first six months are considered a probationary period. A performance review will be conducted after six months, with the potential for a wage increase based on performance. After one year, there is an opportunity to move to a salaried position, based on performance, which includes two weeks of paid vacation during the holiday season.

Schedule (Non-Negotiable)

July – August

Monday – Thursday: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

September – June

Monday – Thursday: 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
