Call Centre Representative (Part-Time Day Shift)
About the role
We currently have one (1) Part-Time Call Centre Representative position available to join our AccuSource Team (a division of Mainroad). Cell Centre Representatives are the pulse of Mainroad. They are the first point of contact for our clients and the general public. The position will be based out of office in Port Kells, Langley.
Please note: This is a part-time position that must be available for weekday and weekend morning and afternoon shifts. The shifts will be 8 hours and you must be available to work at least two weekends out of each month.
Shift times include:
- Morning shift: 5:30 AM – 1:30 PM or 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Afternoon shift: 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM or 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
About AccuSource
AccuSource Communications LP is a 24-hour communications centre which takes calls and responds to the public on changing highway/road conditions, hazards, and incidents. Our fast-paced call centre requires quick response times, accuracy in data entry, urgency to assist and patience to help the general public in stressful situations.
The successful candidate shall have the following qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience
- Able and flexible to work scheduled shift pattern, including days, afternoons, and graveyards
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- Able to work alone with minimal to no supervision
- Able to work exceptionally well in a team environment
- Able to multitask while working in high pressure situations
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of computers, data entry, Excel, Word, and strong typing abilities
- Knowledge of social media platforms including, Facebook & Twitter
- Knowledgeable in the geographic layout of the lower mainland considered a strong asset
Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Answers inquiries from the general public regarding road and traffic conditions in a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable manner
- Logs all incidents promptly, clearly and accurately so that any entry can be used in minor or major investigations
- Keeps a log of all calls
- Identifies operational problems and promptly notifies the road crew
