About the role

Precision Record Pressing is a leading vinyl record pressing company with multiple locations in the Greater Toronto Area. We are currently looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our Burlington team.  This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that will assist with procuring raw materials and supplies for the organization. We are looking for a positive, energetic person who is highly motivated and wants to work in a team environment!

Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales quotes to determine product specifications
  • Generate accurate purchase orders based on customers’ requirements
  • Ensure requested ship dates provide adequate time to complete project
  • Liaise with vendors and sales team regarding any anomalies with print specifications
  • Place test pressing and stamper orders in outside vendor’s (GZ) internal system (Portal)
  • Place finished goods orders with vendor(s)
  • Update reports with finished goods/test pressing shipments from overseas vendor (GZ)
  • Data entry and navigation in internal QMI system (EDI)
  • Other duties as assigned by the Team Leader or designate

Requirements/Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in supply chain management or procurement or a similar field required
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Business Suite
  • Strong self-initiative and work ethic with a drive to achieve sustainable results
  • Detail oriented individual with strong oral, written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly analytical thinker with very strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to achieve results and work in a fast paced, team-based environment with shifting priorities
  • Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, efficiency, organization and managing multiple projects while meeting departmental goals and deadlines
  • Flexibility to work different shifts as business needs demand

Physical Demands

  • Requires the ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Position requires sitting at desk ¾ or more of day, walking short distances for less than ¼ of day.
  • Substantially repetitive movements of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Required to have visual acuity to perform activities including but not limited to analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer screen, extensive reading.
  • Must be able to lift up-to 50lbs intermittently
  • Adaptable to relative sound pressure levels
  • Use of hands and wrist continuously in a controlled environment
