In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients, guiding them through every detail of their meetings, banquets, receptions, and special events.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the first point of contact for catering inquiries (phone, email, in-person).
• Build relationships through proactive selling, prospecting, and follow-up.
• Coordinate all aspects of group meetings, banquets, and special functions.
• Assist clients in event planning, including menu selections and A/V needs.
• Prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to all relevant departments.
• Conduct site inspections and pre-event checks to ensure quality standards.
• Liaise with Sales, F&B, Banquets, and other departments to ensure smooth event execution.
• Oversee events on-site as required, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.
• Prepare weekly catering/sales activity reports for leadership.
• Support the Banquet Manager in supervising events when needed.
• Take part in menu creation and special event planning.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma (Hospitality/Event Management diploma an asset).
• 1–3 years’ experience in catering services, events, or sales.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with a service-first mindset.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office; experience with Micros or similar catering/sales software an asset).
• A passion for hospitality, teamwork, and exceeding guest expectations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment is a hotel setting, which has the following conditions: medium-high noise environment; high traffic area for internal guests, exposure to moving parts and equipment such as vacuum, steam cleaner, washer, and dryer. Potential exposure to theft and/or belligerent guests. Exposure to chemicals. Frequently working in areas of high temperatures around heavy equipment. Exposure to sharps and biohazards.
