As the Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you will play a key role within our Application Development Team, defining and owning end-to-end quality for assigned applications and releases. You will champion an automation-first and AI-augmented testing approach that enhances product quality, reduces risk, and accelerates delivery. You will lead the development of test strategy, quality standards, and automation architecture while embedding quality throughout the development lifecycle and ensuring alignment with secure SDLC practices. You will also provide data-driven release recommendations and mentor QA team members to continuously elevate testing practices across the organization. Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $89,600 - $112,000, with a 35-hour work week. Your rate of pay will be determined based on your individual qualifications and experience, while considering internal equity. Why you'll love Westland: An open, flexible and welcoming workplace Plenty of opportunities to grow and learn Autonomy to drive your own success Be part of our inclusive culture, alongside an extraordinarily talented community of people with a wide variety of backgrounds A total rewards program that takes care of your financial, physical, and mental health Flexible paid Values Days to celebrate days important to you Paid Volunteer Days for employees as part of Amplifying Communities, a program to support causes that matter most to our employees and clients Why we’ll love You: You have 5+ years of experience in QA, with a strong focus on test automation and building reliable, scalable test suites across UI, API, integration, and regression testing You’re comfortable working in Agile (or similar) environments and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines and secure SDLC practices You have experience testing web-based or SaaS applications, including APIs, integrations, and data flows You can write automation code using at least one language (Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python) and have worked with tools like Selenium and Postman You’re a strong problem solver who can troubleshoot issues, analyze root causes, and clearly communicate risks and recommendations You are organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with experience mentoring others, improving processes, and ideally bringing QA/Agile certification or exposure to AI-driven testing tools Once here, you'll: Lead and continuously improve an automation-first QA approach by defining test scope, risks, and coverage goals Build and maintain automated test suites (UI, API, integration) and ensure they run reliably within CI/CD pipelines Plan and execute testing activities, provide clear insights, and support release decisions with go/no-go recommendations Track and monitor quality metrics like test coverage, pass rates, and defects to support better decision-making and continuous improvement Troubleshoot test failures, reduce flaky tests, manage defects through resolution, and support UAT readiness and execution Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to QA ceremonies, mentor team members, and help evolve QA standards, frameworks, and AI-driven testing practices #LI-HB1 #LI-Hybrid Want to get to know each other better?
