Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a critical role in attracting and recruiting top talent to Osler and as such, supporting our corporate strategic plan. You will build positive relationships with leaders and hiring managers, drawing on your knowledge and expertise to develop effective sourcing strategies to find top talent. You manage the recruitment of healthcare professionals by sourcing, prescreening, interviewing and matching exceptional candidates in a high volume unionized environment to positions at Osler.
Accountabilities:

Working closely with healthcare leaders and hiring managers to determine the best talent acquisition strategies to be used based on needs, while ensuring that the process adheres to job posting requirements outlined in various collective agreements and that these strategies also respect our employer brand framework

Managing the recruitment process by efficiently reviewing, approving and processing recruitment requests using our Applicant Tracking System, monitoring recruitment activities closely to ensure that the candidate experience is a positive one

Providing advice and guidance with respect to appropriate advertising strategies for external postings, using social media (i.e. LinkedIn) and professional job posting boards and networks to advertise positions

Ensuring a high standard of practice is applied throughout the recruitment and selection process that complies with legislation (e.g. Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code), HR policies, applicable collective agreements and HR best practices

Developing job posting summaries, selection grids, interview guides and using appropriate selection strategies and tools

Managing the job offer process, ensuring appropriate job references and backgrounds checks are completed successfully, providing appropriate compensation/pay grid recommendations and preparing job offer and employment letters

Liaising with the successful candidate, providing information regarding terms and conditions of employment and ensuring a smooth onboarding process

Participating in continuous improvement projects and other special projects as assigned
Qualifications

University Degree in Human Resources Management or in another discipline or a Diploma in Human Resource Management
-
Certified Human Resources Professional/Leader or Registered Professional Recruiter designation or working towards certification preferred
-
Minimum of two to three years experience recruiting in a unionized environment required; experience in a hospital/healthcare environment required
-
Must demonstrate knowledge and application of employment legislation, labour relations language (including collective agreement administration), recruitment standards, and compensation guidelines
-
Practical knowledge of Human Resources (primarily recruitment) best practices is required
-
Must possess a strong client focus with demonstrated success in developing working relationships, and using superior communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
-
Demonstrated experience using innovative talent acquisition solutions to meet client needs Must be action oriented with an ability to make quick quality decisions and deliver superior results while managing a high volume of recruitment activities

Superior organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and efficiently manage multiple assignments
-
Effective team player that demonstrates a willingness to assist others and support team activities
-
Demonstrated computer skills, including intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and using Human Resource Management and Applicant Tracking Systems

This position is required to travel and work between all Osler sites

Must possess a motor vehicle and an Ontario G class driver's license. Travelling between our three hospital sites is required in order to meet with clients and attend interviews as well attending job fairs off-site

Additional Information
Hours: Currently days, Monday to Friday and must be able to work weekends and/or evenings during busy hiring periods or in order to attend job fairs, conferences and hosting of open house events as required (subject to change in accordance with the operational requirements)
Salary:
Minimum: $79,521.00
Maximum: $99,391.50
Remote First: Roles that can function primarily remotely but require essential, occasional onsite work.
