Job Summary:
As the HR Administrator, you will support in many different Human Resources functions including but not limited to, payroll, vacation schedule maintenance, onboarding & offboarding, asset management and benefit maintenance. This position is responsible for providing professional, client centre support ensuring effective communication within a fast-paced environment.
This is a full time permanent position and is 100% on site in the office.
What you will do:
- Assist with payroll
- Administer onboarding and offboarding for employees
- Responsible for vacation and benefit maintenance
- Responsible for coordinating the recruitment process for both office and site personnel, including job posting, screening, and scheduling interviews.
- Maintain effective working relationships with management and staff
- Extremely detailed and organized by ensuring documents, programs and policies are up to date
- Maintain and ensure confidentiality of employee personnel records
- Ongoing asset management maintenance and audit for the company and employees
- Assist with other HR related activities as required
- Research and implement new software programs as needed
Experience/Knowledge Requirements:
- Post secondary education with a major in Human Resources, or a related field
- 1-2 years' experience working in Human Resources
- Previous experience in the home building and development/construction industry considered an asset, but not a requirement
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with software tools such as Microsoft Suite, Monday, Payroll/Vacation/Benefit/Expense tracking software
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8am-5pm
- Friday: 8am – 2pm
Work Location: 100% In person at the Douglas Home office located in Calgary.
