About the role

Dispatcher – Calcium Division

Proudly Canadian, Tiger Calcium is one of North America's largest calcium chloride producers, drawing from the largest known natural reserve. We define the industry standard for quality—unmatched in either breadth or scope.

We manufacture, supply, transport and apply premium calcium chloride products for anti-icing, deicing and dust control. But that's not all. We also formulate custom fluids for, available for purchase or rental 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year.

Tiger is seeking a Dispatcher for our Calcium Division to organize and dispatch a fleet of trucks to deliver calcium chloride throughout Western Canada.

What you will do in this role:

  • Dispatching over 50 loads per day throughout Western Canada.
  • Ongoing daily monitoring of product inventories.
  • Daily monitoring of driver locations.
  • Monitoring and maintaining driver schedules.
  • Monthly reporting of product inventories at field locations.
  • Ensuring all drivers are operating within Federal Hours of Service.
  • Coordinating the loading and delivery times with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring that drivers are properly prepared (PPE, safety tickets, proper directions, customer contact information, and proper delivery paperwork).
  • Ensuring that all deliveries and paperwork are signed off on and correctly entered in TMW daily.
  • Coordination with Calcium Transportation Manager and Fleet Maintenance Manager for equipment servicing and repairs.
  • Communication with plant operations in Slave Lake confirming the proper product is available before dispatching a truck for the load.
  • Adhere and promote Tiger’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.

What we are looking for:

  • 3 years’ experience in dispatching of liquid bulk.
  • Knowledge of Federal Hours of Service.
  • Geographic knowledge of Western Canada.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and adapt to change quickly.
  • Good internal and external communication skills (customers, supervisors, and drivers).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel skills must be superior).
  • Previous experience with :
    • Trimble Transportation Management System Suite TMW and TMT
    • Oilfield services
    • Off-road dispatching
  • Formal training in dispatch software would be considered an asset.
