In this role, you will lead the development of tactical and strategic supply plans and manage inventory levels to achieve customer service, supply chain and financial objectives, ensuring that the right core and promotional product is in the right place at the right time in the right quantities to meet customer demand.
As a Senior Supply Chain Planner, You Will
- Initiate and lead the development of short and long-term supply plans to balance the demand forecast with cost, efficiency and capacity constraints. This will optimize the flow of product through the supply chain from supplier, through warehouses and to Coffee Houses and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Conduct ongoing development of inventory strategies to determine cost-effective use of inventory investment while maximizing inventory turns and meeting service level targets.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to reduce costs and prepare for future growth. Identify capacity gaps. Recommend changes to sourcing.
- Create and generate reports and performance analyses of KPIs, including out-of-stock, days of supply, aging inventories, waste mitigation and other analyses to facilitate cost and service improvements.
- Establish and maintain supportive relationships with customers, suppliers and team partners to ensure effective communication of strategic and tactical issues. Serve as a liaison between Demand Planning, Replenishment, Logistics support, 3PL warehouses, Transportation, Finance, Product & Marketing and other supply chain partners.
- Participate in cross-functional and/or global project teams. Support timely project completion through performance measurement reports and process development and improvement. Identify risks & exceptions, communicate action items and provide updates to the larger team.
- Use multiple planning system tools to effectively and efficiently create tactical and strategic inventory and supply solutions. Initiate and lead system development and enhancement.
We’d Love To Hear From People With
- 3+ years’ experience in supply chain – demand or supply planning
- Ability to operate in ambiguity while managing multiple deadlines and priorities
- Self-starter and detail-oriented, in an agile team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop and adapt unique inventory management policies based on strategic value and product lifecycle
- Ability to gathers inputs from cross functional teams to craft collaborative messaging that accurately conveys complex situations
- Demonstrated understanding of audience, and tailor’s communication to promote collaborative responses
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills within inventory management
- Experience in an Integrated Business Planning/Sales & Operations Planning environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience using data analytics & visualization tools like Tableau or MS Power BI
- Project management experience as an asset
Compensation & Benefits The typical hiring range for this position is $77,900 - $106,060 CAD annually. Your base pay will reflect the market location and may vary based on your experience, skills, and internal equity.
