Job Summary
As a Warehouse Associate (Shipping, Receiving & Fulfillment) for our Edmonton branch, you will efficiently process inbound and outbound shipments while protecting our Inventory investment through safe handling and storage of products.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure we can achieve service level, efficiency, and safety goals
- Ship & Receive orders to ensure established guidelines and customer requirements are met
- Assist customers and/or couriers who arrive in the warehouse for pick-ups or drop-offs.
- Assist with incoming and outgoing equipment shipments to and from vendors
- Meet our internal service-level commitments for accurate and timely shipments to our customers for Western Canada
- Work with Procurement to ensure effective handling of transactions
- Work with supervisor to create mechanisms for handling daily facility issues
- Ensure that bills of lading and related documents (including TDG/IATA) are prepared properly and that shipping transactions are accurately entered in our shipping system
- Support and accommodate rush and emergency requirements including after-hours service to provide Legendary Customer Service
- Complete cycle-counts per daily schedule and help ensure adequate Inventory Controls are in place maintained and followed
- Safeguard Controlled Goods as per regulations
- Ability to self-manage and prioritize your day with minimal supervision
- Maintain effective communications with associates and management on all internal matters in support of our Basic Principles
- General housekeeping of warehouse facilities as required
- Other Duties as assigned with a Think Team First approach
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse setting
- Knowledge of all applicable Occupational Health & Safety standards
- Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, and ladders/stools – valid forklift certification is an asset
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems & ISO9001:2015 is ideal
- TDG/IATA certification is an asset. Training will be provided for the successful candidate if necessary
- International shipping experience is an asset
- Experience in facilities management or coordination in an industrial setting is an asset
- Computer savvy and experience with automated warehousing systems preferred
- High level Detail-oriented with effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be dependable and demonstrate team player skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and capable of lifting up to 60lbs & reaching up above shoulders
