About Our Opportunity:

Family Services Employee Assistance Program (FSEAP) provides clinical counselling services to employees of client organizations who may be experiencing problems in their personal, family, or work lives. In addition, the program provides several organizational services to its corporate clients, including workplace consulting, training, and critical incident stress management responses. As a social enterprise of Family Services of Greater Vancouver (FSGV), FSEAP is a fee-generating business, with all of its profits going to support the larger work of FSGV and the Greater Vancouver community.

We are seeking multiple in-person/hybrid providers across B.C. and the Yukon to deliver EFAP counselling services.

Special consideration will be given to candidates who can work with children, couples, families, as well as travel within the Lower Mainland, in addition to other regions in B.C., where contract opportunities may arise.

Work Hours: Variable

Compensation: To be negotiated based on the service location and nature of services provided.

Location**:** Various Regions across BC and the Yukon (applicants are expected to have their own professional office and virtual practice setup).

What do you need to succeed?

Education, Training, Experience

  • Master's degree in a clinical field (e.g., social sciences, education, health sciences, psychology, counselling).
  • Professional Registration: membership in a professional regulatory body (e.g., RCC, RSW, CCC, or RPysch, etc.) is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical counselling experience, or 2500 counselling hours.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Superior clinical skills, including significant understanding of a wide range of mental health and substance abuse issues and how to support clients using a short-term and solution-focused model.
  • Manage and maintain professional clinical records with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant local community resources to facilitate longer-term client support.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to quickly learn and navigate online systems, such as file management systems and portals.

Additional Requirements

  • Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check
  • Professional Liability Insurance with a minimum coverage of $2,000,000 per occurrence and $5,000,000 aggregate.
