About the role
Primary Objective The Programs Experience Coordinator is responsible for ensuring 2026 Hockey Programs, including the 2026 Summer Hockey Camps deliver the best experience possible to our clients and their families. The role would be at the Bell Sensplex (Kanata), with time to be spend at each of our other Sensplex locations (Richcraft Sensplex in East Ottawa, and Cavanagh Sensplex in Kinburn).

Essential Functions Ongoing
-
Bring a solutions-focused approach to ensure an excellent customer experience and exceptional value is received for spring and summer hockey programs and camps.

Identify areas of strengths and areas for improvement through:
- Supervising program and camp activities and filling out camp supervision checklists.
- Gathering feedback from customers, both in-person and through our on-line feedback avenues.
- Gathering feedback from our program and camp staff.

Create tangible plans to improve our quality and service delivery, including those which address areas of improvement.

Oversee implementation of plans for improvement and track the impact on guest experience and value.
-
Responsible for the continuous training, coaching/mentoring and evaluation of part-time program staff.

Assist programs team with providing exceptional customer service and responding to all program inquires in a timely fashion and per company polices.

Assisting with spring programs and administration of our spring development hockey clubs.

Assist with payment collection for all programs.
-
Assist with managing content of related program pages on CSMI websites.

Other duties as assigned by the Manager, Part-time Programming Staff and Director of Hockey Programs & Revenues.
Qualifications (what we look for)

University Degree or College Diploma in a sports or business-related field
-
Must have an intimate knowledge and understanding of the game of hockey
-
Excellent written and oral communication skills (written communication competency test may be required during application process)
-
Experience with youth programming
-
Previous customer service experience (education in this area is an asset)

Previous experience in event or program planning and executing
-
Must be proficient with MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) with a special emphasis on MS Excel
-
Bilingualism is an asset (oral and written English and French)

Excellent supervisory skills & relevant experience

Must be a team player

Very strong work ethic

Ability to work under pressure situations and deal with difficult people on a regular basis

Ability to meet tight deadlines
-
Must hold a valid driver’s license and have own means of transportation

Must be available to work evenings, as well as weekends and holidays on occasion

Compensation
This role falls within an hourly range of $17.60 - $23.10 per hour. Hourly ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to market data, internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skillset.
