About the role

Safety-Kleen in Chelmsford, ON is seeking a Route Service Driver (internally known as a Sales & Service Rep) who is interested in joining our safety conscious team! The Sales & Service Rep executes daily waste pickup and delivery services at client sites. This role will also include performing tasks to help solicit new business. You will drive our sustainability mission by providing excellent service to our customers while promoting Safety-Kleen products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate Class DZ trucks to deliver and pick up waste from client sites (such as used oil, anti-freeze, and related products).
  • Build strong customer relationships through exceptional service, ensuring their needs are met to their satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Safety-Kleen products and services, contributing to revenue growth.
  • Manage daily routes and ensure compliance with schedules while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure accuracy in product deliveries, waste pickups, and related documentation.
  • Adhere to all company, provincial, and federal safety regulations and guidelines, including transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
  • Maintain a clean and safe vehicle and workplace environment.
  • Participate in required training and maintain all certifications necessary for the role.

Qualifications

  • Interested in obtaining a DZ license (individuals already licensed is a strong asset)
  • B2B route sales experience is highly preferred.
  • Environmental Services/Hazardous waste experience is a strong asset.
  • Comfortable executing physically demanding tasks.
  • Clean driving record.
