Reporting to the Vice-President, Treasury, the Senior Analyst, Risk Management identifies, quantifies and evaluates risks, and makes recommendations to take the necessary measures to eliminate or mitigate them. Among other things, the Senior Analyst, Risk Management coordinates the underwriting of insurance programs, oversees claims management and loss mitigation activities, manages relationships with third-party service providers, including brokers and insurers, prepares claims analyses, identifies risks, recommends solutions, updates insurance procedures, monitors compliance with procedures, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate the renewal process and monitor renewal process timelines, including bid preparation, underwriting collection and analysis.

  • Make recommendations to senior management for decision making.

  • Manage insurance certificates: issue, follow-up and renewal.

  • Allocate insurance premiums, including calculating and invoicing.

  • Manage claims, review adjusters' files and approve settlement offers.

  • Support the team in reviewing contractual clauses related to indemnity and insurance language for supply, sales and service contracts.

  • Produce and present management indicators/dashboards on a regular basis.

  • Analyze data, communicate and explain risks to project stakeholders.

  • Prepare reports/presentations on company risks for our executives and Board of Directors.

  • Apply critical thinking to solve complex problems.

  • Contribute to developing and implementing improvements in communication, monitoring or education in the company's risk management principles and processes.

  • Work closely with teams such as finance, risk management, legal affairs, etc., to promote a corporate risk management approach.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree or equivalent

  • Four (4) years' experience in risk management and/or insurance

  • CIP or CRM designation an asset

  • Critical thinking

  • High standards in customer service

  • Fluency in English and French (spoken and written)

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Ability to adapt easily to change

  • Organizational skills and concern for quality in work execution

  • Demonstrate autonomy and initiative
