Kubota Materials Canada Corporation specializes in manufacturing high-performance alloys and friction materials from raw materials to finished products under one roof. Located in Orillia, Ontario, we lead the industry in quality, advanced technology, and on-time delivery.
Position Overview:
In this role, you will conduct radiographic inspections and support quality assurance processes in accordance with company standards and customer specifications. This is a trainee position that requires you to have attained your EDO and completed your CEDO preparation course. This position will provide you with the hours you need to obtain your CEDO.
Following the completion of your training, you will be required to rotate shifts in accordance with our CBA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform radiography inspections on static fittings, bevels, and weld joints according to specified shooting sketches.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of radiographic images and inspection results.
- Complete QA documentation, ensuring compliance with standards and traceability.
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as needed..
- Support department objectives with additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum Grade 12 diploma required.
- EDO Preparation Course Certification required.
- CAN/CBSB is considered an asset.
- 1–2 years of experience in reading and interpreting radiographic films is preferred.
- Experience in a foundry or heavy equipment manufacturing environment is an asset.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Standing and walking for prolonged periods.
- Manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle heavy equipment.
- Exposure to high temperatures, molten metal, and noise (PPE required).
- High concentration and focus required in both independent and team settings.
Shift Rotation:
Following the completion of training, you will be required to rotate shifts every two weeks, moving between the day, afternoon, and overnight shifts in accordance with our collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
