AVIATION AIRSIDE SHIFT MANAGER Are you passionate about Safety & Security and seeking the opportunity to join a team of Lead Security Professionals? A.S.P. A.S.P. is looking for an Airport Security Supervisor, who will take pride in becoming ambassador at the Airport and have an eye for detail, supervisory skills, and problem-solving skills. A successful candidate will be required to work with integrity, respect, and take responsibility for the security and safety at the Airport.
What you will do:
- Providing efficient supervision and supporting assigned client locations
- Preparing and Inspecting Officers Reports as required in a neat, legible, and factual manner
- Preparing Non-Conformance Reports for all incidents, complaints, or deficiencies discovered that affect the delivery of service to our clients
- Inspecting all posts regularly and coordinating break relief functions for all assigned locations
- Ensuring all guards are dressed in appropriate uniform and equipped to perform their designated function safely and efficiently
- Compiling Daily Summary Reports from guards and submits to the Service Delivery Manager for review
- Inspecting all posts regularly and testing site Guards on their knowledge of the Post and General Orders
- Maintaining effective control for all issued equipment, such as client issued equipment
- Communicating all instructions from Head Office to all security staff
- Training new officers on-site and sharing their performance from the Operations Manager
- Making recommendations for improvement that will increase the effectiveness or benefit the service delivery to our clients
- Assisting the Patrol Supervisors to Coordinate break relief functions for all Site Locations
- Ensuring copies of any G.T.A.A. Incident reports completed by guards or supervisors are submitted to G.T.A.A. security and Head Office as soon as practicable after the incident has occurred
- Coordinating with the Service Delivery Manager to facilitate weekly silent alarm testing
- Performing emergency response duties under the Emergency Response Manual
Who you are:
- Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 education
- Minimum of two (2) years of employment with A.S.P. incorporated or five (5) years of security supervisory related experience
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Knowledgeable of Access Control, Alarm, CCTV systems, Criminal Code of Canada and Private Investigators and Security Guards Act
- Must Possess a valid Security license, Ontario Drivers License (G or Higher) with a clean driving abstract and Basic First Aid & CPR certification and willing to provide Criminal Record check upon request
- Excellent written & verbal communication and active listening skills
- Able to work on nights, weekends, weekdays, and holidays
- Need to obtain an AVOP (Airside Vehicle Operating Permit)
