About the Role:
Are you a highly skilled and experienced engineer with a passion for natural gas facility design? Join our Gas Transmission and Midstream (GTM) Major Projects facilities engineering team as an Oversight Engineer. We are looking for a dynamic individual with expertise in mainline centrifugal compression design, meter station design, and overall natural gas facility design. This role is open to both electrical and mechanical engineers who are ready to lead and innovate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the design and implementation of mainline centrifugal compression systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and Enbridge specifications.
- Develop and review designs for meter stations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Provide expertise in the overall design of natural gas facilities, including compression stations, meter stations, and other related infrastructure.
- Utilize and adhere to the Enbridge design process, ensuring all projects meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and coordinate engineering activities for major projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and customer service departments, to ensure successful project execution.
- Ensure all designs and implementations meet the highest quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and implementation of natural gas facilities, with a focus on mainline centrifugal compression and meter station design.
- Proficiency in engineering design software and tools, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex engineering issues.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience in overseeing and coordinating engineering projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Professional Technologist (P. Tech. Eng.) designation.
- Experience with Enbridge's design process and standards.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
