Job Description As a System Safety Engineering Subject Matter Expert , you will be responsible for translating high-level safety goals into tangible, verifiable system-level solutions.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include

  • Allocating functional safety and SOTIF (Safety of the Intended Functionality) technical safety requirements to software and hardware components,
  • Defining and implementing technical safety concepts and safety architectures,
  • Ensuring that ADAS and autonomous driving software architectures include the necessary safety mechanisms (fault detection, redundancy, safe states, etc.),
  • Acting as the crucial link between the theoretical Safety Case analysis and the practical engineering design,
  • Working side-by-side with development teams to produce detailed safety-related artifacts that demonstrate compliance and readiness for mass production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field,
  • Strong expertise in functional safety (ISO 26262) and SOTIF (ISO 21448) applied to automotive or embedded systems,
  • Functional Safety certification (ISO 26262, TÜV certification, etc.) is a strong asset.
  • Solid background in safety architecture design, safety mechanisms, and verification,
  • Ability to translate safety analyses into implementable design solutions,
  • Experience producing and reviewing safety-related artifacts (safety plans, safety concepts, safety cases, etc.),
  • Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional engineering teams (software, hardware, systems).
