About the role
DMC est actuellement à la recherche d’un Aide au Forage Ascendant pour rejoindre notre équipe sur une base contractuelle, dans la région d’Abitibi, Québec.
Relevant du Superviseur du Forage Ascendant, l’Aide au Forage Ascendant soutiendra l’équipe dans l’exécution des activités de forage ascendant de manière sécuritaire et efficace. Ce poste exige une flexibilité pour voyager vers d’autres sites de projets, selon les besoins.
Responsabilités principales
- Respecter les règles et normes de sécurité avant, pendant et après le travail.
- Effectuer les vérifications préalables de la zone de travail et de l’équipement.
- Assister les opérateurs et l’équipe dans les activités de forage ascendant.
- Maintenir lnaissancesa propreté de la zone de travail, organiser le rangement des matériaux et des pièces de rechange.
- Accomplir d’autres tâches selon les besoins.
Qualifications, Compétences Et Connaissances
- Minimum de 2 ans d’expérience souterraine dans un rôle similaire.
- Modules miniers du Québec et certificat de dynamitage requis.
- Engagement démontré envers un environnement de travail sécuritaire.
- Bonne connaissance, compétences et expérience dans l’utilisation de la machinerie.
- Capacité avérée à comprendre et suivre les instructions verbales et écrites.
- Capacité à travailler en rotation, de jour comme de nuit, selon les besoins.
- Disponible et disposé à voyager selon les exigences du poste.
- Permis de conduire valide requis.
- Expérience comme aide foreur ou foreur diamant est un atout.
- Expérience en forage de longs trous est un atout.

English Position Scope DMC is currently looking for a Raise Bore Helper to join our team on a contract basis, for our Abitibi, Quebec Region. Reporting to the Raise Bore Supervisor, the Raise Bore Helper will support the Raise Bore team for the operation of Raise Bore activities in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires flexibility to travel to other project locations, as required.
Key Accountabilities
- Follow rules related to safety standards and practices before, during and after work.
- Conduct pre-start checks of work area and equipment.
- Assist operators and team in the operation of Raise Bore activities.
- Practice good housekeeping (maintaining a clean work area, storage of materials and spare parts.
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills, And Knowledge
- 2 years of underground experience in a similar role.
- Quebec Mining Modules and Blasting Certificate.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Sound knowledge, skills and experience in operation of machinery.
- Proven ability to recognize and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Able to work rotation, day, and night shifts as may be required.
- Able and willing to travel as required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience as a Diamond Drill Helper or Diamond Driller is an asset.
- Long Hole experience is an asset.
Working Environment
