The foremost duty of the Central Heating Plant Relief Engineer is that of relieving the regular operators during vacations and sickness and to operate on a regular basis as required.Pay: $34.50ResponsibilitiesMonthly inspections, minor maintenance and repair on underground steam and condensate systems alongside mechanical trades workers when necessaryLubrication of all underground expansion jointsAnalyze condensate return water from each building on a monthly basisMaintain inventory of emergency parts at the Central Heating PlantMaintain all pressure vessels coming under inspection by the Department of LabourOperate brine pumps once per week during rink shutdown periodSteam trap inspections and upkeepShare in the cleaning of the boilers and related equipment, keeping them in good operating conditionRelieve operators during vacation and sicknessAt all times, duties are to be performed using approved PPE and all safety procedures must be followedAny other job tasks assignedQualificationsPower Engineer’s Certificate 3rd Class for the Province of Nova Scotia (with intention of acquiring 2nd Class Certification in Power Engineering)The Relief Engineer (Maintenance) must have a broad knowledge of operations concerning the Central Heating Plant, steam distribution and condensate return systems, refrigeration equipment and large air conditioning equipmentDemonstrated maintenance experienceAdditional InformationWhy Choose Sodexo Campus?
