Fractional Marketing Manager

About The Role
We’re looking for a Fractional Marketing Manager (up to ~20 hours a month) to own and evolve our marketing function. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring our marketing efforts drive clarity, consistency, and measurable growth across North America. We’ll look to you to audit our current gaps and opportunities, then outline a plan that can be executed on a fractional or part-time basis, with clearly outlined priorities.
The successful candidate for our team may personally execute the work as a hybrid strategic and tactical marketer, or lead cost-effective tactical subcontractors (design, copywriting, automation etc). Regardless of structure, this role is fully accountable for marketing performance, systems, and outcomes.
Core Accountabilities:
Marketing Strategy & Positioning:
- Conduct a competitor analysis and identify market differentiation opportunities
- Refine Beacon HR’s value proposition (Canadian and US markets)
- Optimize the prospect journey, identifying friction points and opportunities for conversion improvement
- Create and execute on a light webinar strategy
- Establish quarterly marketing priorities within the monthly scope
Marketing Systems & HubSpot Ownership
- Act as the HubSpot expert and system owner
- Ensure marketing list hygiene and resolve system issues
- Optimize workflows, automation, and lead nurturing
- Build AI-enabled workflows and marketing automations
- Manage webinar workflows within HubSpot, including registration, reminders, and post-event nurture
Content & Channel Execution
- Develop and execute a monthly email newsletter
- Implement a focused LinkedIn + Instagram social media strategy
- Support content creation for lead magnets, including strategy, creation, and form setup
- Collaborate on or directly create basic design assets
Website & Digital Assets
- Make ad hoc website edits as required (Squarespace)
- Upload and manage website case studies and careers page
- Ensure marketing assets are current, consistent, and aligned with brand standards
- Create sales enablement material
Paid Media & Vendor Management
- Manage our paid ads vendor, including:
- Clear briefs and objectives
- Performance review and optimization recommendations
- Ensure paid media efforts align with broader marketing strategy and funnel performance
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong understanding of B2B professional services marketing (ideally HR)
- Deep experience with HubSpot
- Ability to think strategically and execute on the tactical day-to-day tasks
- Experience managing subcontractors or vendors
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify funnel drop-off points and optimization opportunities
- Clear communicator who can translate strategy into action

Structure:
This is a fractional or part-time contract role, up to ~20 hours per month, with flexibility in how those hours are distributed. It's fully remote, and you could be based anywhere in Canada or the US.
