We’re committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts.

Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers — and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.

##About the team:

The Global Business Selling & Stores team, as part of eBay’s Global Markets organization, is responsible for helping sellers start and grow their businesses on our platform and delivering a value proposition that attracts new sellers and retains them, from small entrepreneurs to global brands. We partner with teams across the enterprise to drive our strategic priorities forward, deliver on our promise and give sellers confidence in being successful, profitable, and protected on our marketplace.

##About the role:

We are looking for a Manager, Global Business Seller Strategy for the Global Business Seller & Stores team. This role will report into the subscriptions strategy lead in the Global Business Seller Strategy team. This role will develop strategies for delivering a stronger value proposition to our business sellers through the eBay Store Subscriptions program.

The Global Business Selling & Stores team is a team of strategic leaders, setting the direction for our business segment, but also embedded operators, not afraid to roll up our sleeves to achieve our goals. We are a team that pride ourselves on our ability to flex to business priorities – ‘general athletes’ who learn quickly and drive progress – and relentlessly advocate for the sellers we serve.

The role will touch multiple initiatives and evolve based on the needs of our sellers and priorities as a company. You will partner with a broad set of cross-functional domain partners and build functional, market and vertical expertise through deep collaboration with many teams, and have a “total business view” through the course of your work.

##What you'll accomplish:

  • Strategy Definition: Develop strategies to address the prioritized needs of business sellers and deliver a stronger value proposition to business sellers, particularly through the eBay Store Subscriptions Program.
  • Program Management: Manage timelines for projects and programs, including communications with key collaborators and partners.
  • Influence Roadmap Delivery: Influence roadmap development, and advocate for the successful delivery of outcomes across multiple teams and domains including product, marketing, trust, regulatory and seller operations.
  • Go to Market Strategy: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop a go to market strategy in support of value proposition reinforcement, awareness, and adoption – collaborating with product, product marketing, channels, ops and legal
  • Results and Accountability: Define and own reporting against key performance indicators along owned programs and initiatives

##Who you are:

  • Strategic, and an operator: You can both translate enterprise goals and seller needs into domain priorities and drive outcomes by encouraging and influencing key partners across the org

  • Someone with an inclination towards data / evidence, and a high level of comfort with analytical approaches (both qualitative / quantitative) to derive actionable insights

    • You are especially good at distilling what is important vs. just interesting. You can go beyond articulating an observation and land the “so what?” and the “now what?”
  • A structured thinker that can break down ambiguous problems into tangible solutions and actionable plans.

  • An exceptional communicator (verbal and written) who can modulate to different audiences and objectives

  • An autonomous driver of progress, on balance with keeping leadership and partners engaged / informed

##What you will bring:

  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity about this area of work (ecommerce platforms, marketplace, technology) and compassion / a natural instinct to help our sellers and solve their problems. Experience as a seller (casually or beyond) is a plus.
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • You are collaborative and candid, and are able to influence cross-functional partners through domain expertise, quality work, and quality relationships
  • Contributions to the culture and cohesion of your immediate and extended team
  • 6+ years of related experience in strategy, business operations, product management, product operations, program management, consulting, preferably in e-commerce, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in eCommerce / marketplaces a plus
  • BA/BS required

##Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or similar advanced degree
  • A passion for selling on marketplace platforms

##Travel:

  • Ability to travel occasionally to San Jose HQ and/or other global locations as needed
